Lifting height limiter
Lifting height limiter is used to avoid possible errors in control. In order to avoid damaging the crane boom structure during lifting, the steel wire rope on the drum is prevented to be completely loose or even wrap around the drum in the opposite direction when descending.
For the tower crane with movable arm type amplitude variation, the lifting height limiter is usually composed of a touch rod, a lever, a spring and a travel switch, which is usually fixed at the end of the lifting arm. The hammer is connected to the lever of the terminal switch through the hook ring and the wire rope of the limiter. When the hammer is in a deformed position, the terminal switch contact is closed.

The most commonly used rotary limiter is composed of a limit switch and a pinion with a reducer. The limiter is fixed on the structure of the rotary support of the tower crane.
When the upper part of the tower crane is moved by the turning mechanism, the small gear of the rotary limiter is driven to roll through the large ring of teeth, and the number of rotation cycles of the tower crane is recorded. The reducer of the limiter drives the CAM, and the convex block on the CAM presses down the micro switch, thus blocking the corresponding rotary control loop and ending the rotary activity.
